Hello !
I'm going to Dublin in mid-November with some friends . They arn´t geoachers, but I 'll try to take me to the oldest cache in Europe anyway ( GC43 ) .
How do I most easily get there?, it is a good bus connection ? How much is a taxi to get there ?
Sincerely rill3 ( Sweden )

Hi rill3,
Gc43 is located on a cliffside walk at Bray, a seaside town about 22km from Dublin. Most people would use the DART which is a suburban rail line from Dublin to get there. Allow about 20mins to walk to GZ - you can also take a 145 bus but the DART would be quicker. A taxi from Dublin City Centre would be expensive...
Check out some of the other caches around GC43 while you're there - there's a few interesting ones for the brave or bright cachers!
Good luck

Well, to give you a perspective on how expensive it is, I did a trip from Bray Daly (the DART station in Bray) to Dublin Hueston by Taxi, and by DART.

By taxi it cost €40+ to get from there (although traffic was up due to the football final)
By DART for me and my aunt (1 child, 1 adult) I think it was around €5.

So in effect it is considerably cheaper to go by DART and I would recommend it as the views from outside the window from Connolly to Bray are simply fantastic. You may even get some discounts if you are students, or under 26 I think!
