Weve been using the gsak marco for our Garmin Nuivi 250.
I changed the memory card to a bigger one and ever since, the macro hasn't been working properly.

For those who use it, you will know how to set it up for alerts for caches as you drive along, and then you can acess the full gpx. file description with logs and hints.

The problem I have is that The macro no longer gives me alerts. I can see the cache symbols on the map and the search feature is working fine, but no alerts or cache descriptions etc.

Ive tried updating the macro, deleting all files from the nuvi, the gsak/garminpoi folder, and cant seem to get it working.

Ive asked on the main gsak forum, but got no response, so Im hoping someone will be able to help.

[just incase my Nuvi ever decides to spit the dummy in a similar fashion]

seems strange, but all i did was run the poi loader separately. (The macro automatically starts it after generating the gpx files.)

weirdest problem I ever seen, and because of tgat I thought it was more complex than that.

Were you using ConvertNuviGPX? or which macro did you use for your Nuvi?

I am using GPX_by_Cache_Type. I previously used garmin_nuvi_exportgpx, but wanted one which showed all the proper GC icons for multi's, mystery, webcam etc and waypoints,

I never tried the convertnuvi one.

Now all I need is a cold dark night to sit down and try this, well what do you know, another wish came true!

I was having mixed success with the macro recomended. My 1240 was not an available option so I worked through the list and loaded the outputs. Some gave more information than the others, but none gave the listing text, logs or hints, and my unit never seems to give a 'more' button. So settled on the 7xx option which, for Sea Bangor, gave me:
SeaBang/Unk/N/GCYX00 N54 39.777 W05 40.177 Unk/Mic/FFFF/Tb:N, (D:2.5/T:2) Sea Bangor by Hairytoeman, Pl:15/10/2006, LF:23/09/2009
(Other options only gave me: SeaBang/Unk/N/GCYX00)

Went to update my maps and the software updated my GPS software and lo and behold, I can now see all the listing data etc. New maps and all my geocaching info renewed. Happy days!
